about me
I have been passionate about individual design and style since being in my teens.
I come from a creative family with my grandmother being my biggest familiar. She has been a seamstress all her life and made her own clothes since she was 14.

I am a very determined and self-sufficiant character being an only child to a single mother. I had to withstand quite a few grim events in my childhood which
made me a very happy and positive person, because I have seen it all before.
Fashion Design has been a life-long passion of mine, ever since i was 16, I wanted to become a Fashion Designer. My grandmother, being a seamstress since she was 14 was my biggest inspiration. I started making my own clothes as well as those for my dolls with her since I was a little girl.
I always had a very unique dress sense which made me vulnerable as a child but is a big asset in the business and industry I chose to pursue. I particularly strive in and enjoy colour in my work. When you look through my work you might discover my quirky and unexpected sense for this very important part of Fashion.
After I finished my Abitur, comparable to A-levels here in the UK, in my hometown Munich, Germany I did a placement with a small local fashion label, Felizitas Uhde. This made me continue in the same studio and store as an apprentice as a womens tailor. In Germany an apprenticeship is stricly regulated and normally takes 3 years, I could reduce it to 2 ½ due to my higher education and good marks. To ensure that all apprentices have roughly the same level of knowledge you have 4 days of studio/work and one day of profession school. In the course of this I was able to take part as the only apprentice in the yearly avantgarde fashion show of the Meisterschule fuer Mode- one of the highly regarded fashion schools in Germany – with my own 6 piece collection. My collection consisted of 4 womenswear and 2 menswear designs and incorporated a glass corsett, glass jewelry and glass bag as well as origami techniques. One of the menswear designs was briefly featured in a Bavarian television news program.

During my time as an apprentice I could reenforce my knowledge about and feel for natural and other fabrics. Knowing how weight and texture affect the shape and possible make of a garment. Furthermore it is a great practical foundation that helps immensely in the fashion industry, as I learned throughout my studies in England.
As a next step I moved to Bristol, UK to continue my education by studying Fashion and Textile Design at the University of the West of England. In this course one not only learns how fashion design works but gains profound skills in print and knit as well as any medium one choses to incorporate. It is known that graduates from our university are very employable since it is very skill based and industrious course.
The most crucial and exciting step now is to get into the fashion industry and make my mark.
